Spoilt kid

Let me start by saying - I am one petulant fuck in life when I don't win, I detest losing more than I like winning, I'm a bit of a sport Billy and one of them annoying competitive pricks.
So normally West Ham results effect my mood but none more so than this season.
This ridiculously good run we have been on has quite frankly spoiled me, the big wins, the grabbing points from losing positions have all meant that weekend have had me in a good mood, the sun is shining, the birds are singing etc.
Yesterday no matter how much I expected it and could rationale it in my mind, it still made me sulk like a 5 year old who'd had the jam nicked out of his doughnut.
I rowed with the missus, ruined dinner and acted more of a prick than normal.
Apart from pissing your y fronts on here, how else do match results effect your weekend? Anyone kick the dog, punch the wall, get smashed etc?

I switch off from football for at least a couple of days, will never watch MOTD or check any kind of football related news. sometimes until midweek.
I'm only on here now because I'm bored!
Wouldn't say it makes me act any differently though...

Was pissed off as fuck until I watched Carroll's double hash on Motd, and couldent stop myself laughling out loud.
I have roared with laughter every time I've watched it since - to be honest it's as bad an sequence of errors as Ive ever seen from a top class pro.
Sometimes (often over the past 50 years) you need a sense of humor to support the Irons, the West Ham way allright.

Yep I get miserable and annoyed but It lies within me more so when I am on my own.

As a teenager I was a horrible cnut if we lost, and someone had to 'pay'... in fact, if we were playing away, someone often had to pay even before we'd played..! Luckily, you do grow out of that.
It's a bit like a disease though... the remnants of it are tucked away deep down inside you, however much you try to disown them.
Funnily enough, I never had a temperament problem as a player, only as a spectator. Odd.
I reckon it was you bastards leading me astray...

Alwaysaniron is spot on for me... if I'm at the game and we lose then unless it's a really close one or important one that we lose then I don't get upset for longer than a minute or two.
For some reason if I don't go the match and we lose and I follow the score online or on Sky Sports News or whatever and we lose then it makes me more annoyed. Still though I make sure it doesn't effect how I speak to other people. I'm enough of a cunt already to behave like more of a cunt after a West Ham loss.

I generally get grumpy for about 10 minutes then realise that there are a million more important things in life to get stressed and upset about. To be honest If i'm not actually at the game myself then I don't look at the score during the game as that would piss me off for longer than my usual 10 minutes.

I used ti be excatly the same as the OP, when I was 10, then I oh whats the words i'm looking for, oh yes I grew up. You should try it. Nothing quite as pathetic as seeing a grown man sulking for fucks sake. Still you must be getting used to it supporting West Ham. One quick fuck it and it's forgotten on to the next game

Results used to determine how my weekend ended up. But this year I don't feel as bad when we loose maybe it's because when I look at the other results and see the rent boys have lost again it instantly puts a smile back on my face.

Not sure I've ever really been majorly bothered for more than a few minutes so long as I feel the team at the time are giving their all.
Plus seeing as we've won nothing since I've been going to games, it's not as if we've fallen from grace.
Probably helps not being one of the deluded mob though I suppose, as I expect fuck all.
